Rent Event is a family run business based in Eastbourne, East Sussex
The inspirational behind Rent Event stemmed from the clear up operation of our tipi festival wedding in 2015
In the spring of 2016 Rent Event was born amidst the crazy renovations of our new family home we still managed to get everything up and running
Finding fun, unique and quirky things for people to hire for their wedding or event is almost second nature now
We search high and low for the things you see on our web site and if we cant find it we make it
We take great pride in what we do and always aim to give a 5 star service no matter the job in hand
What We Do
Expert in the field of vintage style hire and special event prop hire, we are based in Eastbourne in East Sussex and cover the whole of the Sussex and Kent. With masses of unique and fantastic items to hire, we add fun, character and charisma to your party or event. Family run, we take everything personally, nothing is too much trouble and every event is bespoke to suit you, your dreams and your ideas. We’ll discuss with you in detail, put forward a few suggestions and then help you to choose from our range of vintage style quirky and beguiling items.
Rent Event came into being when we were organising our own wedding and realised that many of the things we would have loved to include were just not easily available or affordable to hire within the East Sussex and Kent area. We did some research and soon realised that those magical and elusive items were to be found, but it took time, effort and experience to know where to look. We also had to make sure that our items were affordable, good quality and could easily be incorporated into entertainment budgets. So Rent Event was born.
How We Do It
We personally love all things vintage and quirky so putting together our product range has been fun, although exhausting. As well as providing the perfect props, we can also assist with party staging and accessorising, in order to make sure that everything comes together where and when it should. Attention to detail is our thing and customer service is something that we focus on, every minute of every day.
Our carefully sourced creations come from far and wide, if we spot something that we know is perfect for our range, we go get it. As well as being predominantly vintage, many items are reclaimed or hand made and often procured via our extensive network of key suppliers. Great attention to detail has been in the forefront when creating or sourcing our items for hire

We can't thank Jamie enough for making our wedding vow Party a complete success!!!!! Right from the start of contacting Jamie I really felt he completely knew his business!!! We changed things around a lot before our day, but Jamie was not phased at all. On the day of the party everything was delivered, put up and ready to go with loads and loads of time before the guests arrived. Everything looked amazing with the bunting around the shelters too, everything we asked for was there, nothing at all was out of place or different from what we ordered. WOW!!!!!! All the guests commented on the games and loved playing, the kids were in their element too, they loved the dressing up box and the parents were over the moon that the children did not get bored thoroughout the day!!!! The popcorn and candy floss cart that Jamie had arranged was there on time and the people running it were lovely and friendly, the pop corn and candy floss were delicious and the kids were over the moon!!!
